I have a passion for telling your story. Have you noticed in life that when a person tells you their story...it's very easy to quickly pick out of a person's story what is unique and what you will easily remember? That is so important to your business and getting the word spread around about what you are offering to the world.
1) GOOGLE/SEO KEYWORDS GETS YOUR VIDEO OUT THERE ON TOP OF SEARCH ENGINES
Once you have key story points recorded into your video, you can research the best keywords to reach your intended target audience and put them into the title, description, and keywords section of your video. Did you know that some keywords searched for on google not only have websites listed at the top of the search results...but video too? For example...I've recently been getting more and more clients in Portland being their Muslim wedding videographer. So when I make their videos I have been keywording them with many relevant phrases including "Portland Muslim Wedding Videographer" and look below to see the amazing results on Google. The key here is that Google shows one of my wedding videos right up near the top. People often watch video before clicking on a website so it's extremely helpful to have a promotional video for your business with all the keywords you think people will use to find you...and your video may be the key to catching their attention and thus bringing them to your businesses and creating more income!
2) TELLING YOUR STORY MAKES YOU PERSONABLE
For example...after watching Tina's Winter Menu Promo Video below, you now know that when eating the food at this high end restaurant "Tina's" in Dundee, OR that much of their food comes from local farms directly to your table...and that it's all paired to your food and palate with a high end wine handpicked by the restaurant owner. You will also learn from "Tina's" that there are often local wine makers sitting at the tables next to you in this restaurant! How much more interesting is it to eat at Tina's now that you know this. How about for your business? What would make your business more personable? Does your distillery have a special flavor added to your whisky that makes for an interesting story when drinking your whisky that we will now notice while drinking it? Does your medical practice have a special relaxing aromatherapy procedure upon intake as a new patient that puts your patients at ease in a unique way. Maybe your hair salon provides free drinks of all kinds including wine and a special blend of green tea for relaxation? All these are ways to make you stand out and become "remarkable" or "remark able" (people are able to remark about you to their friends) and the word will spread about your business on social media and in real life...thus leading to more profit for you!
3) TEACH YOUR AUDIENCE SOMETHING VALUABLE AND YOU BECOME "AN EXPERT"
Just like I'm doing in this article right now! If you have a business...and people pay you to provide some sort of specialized service...then you have a skill that makes you an expert in your field. If you spend most of your day doing a specialized skill...you have very likely learned something that others could benefit from. By sharing this information in a video, and sharing it on social media like Facebook live, or Snapchat, or even better yet...a video we create that looks highly professional and beautiful and then is shared on a huge audience platform like Youtube (With the correct keywords)...you will bring in many eyes to your business and thus more income. Here's a video I shared on Youtube that was a skill I was sharing with others and has brought in many eyes to my media services.
4) REMARKABLE THINGS ABOUT YOUR BIZ/UNIQUE THINGS YOU DO/SHOW MAKES YOU STAND OUT
Most business owners are amazing at being multi-taskers. You have to be to run a business. With this usually comes a person who has a mutli-faceted set of interests and skills. Often times this type of person also has another aspect of their business or even personal life that is very interesting and could be shared. This makes your business stand out even more. For example...I am not only a camera for hire...but I do many personal side projects in the movie industry. Here's an example of a comedy horror film I made with a small team for a 1 Minute Halloween Film Festival this year. We won an award for "Best Actress" and were in the top 8 chosen out of over at least 40 other films. Do you have any other things you can share that your audience may find remarkable and help you get more people looking at you as a person that is credible, and somebody they would want to work with? These things are also ways to get press or other websites to link to your website and these "linkbacks" are essential ways to grow your Google rankings and be #1 on Google and other search engines.
5) STATS SHOW VIDEO IS SUPERIOR MARKETING
More people watch video now than ever. 87% of online marketing campaigns have video in them and 96% of B2B organizations use video in some capacity in their marketing campaign efforts of which 73% report positive results to their ROI (source). This graphic below from Hyperfine Media says it all.
